In oorsprong geheel vrijstaand pand, als ziekenhuis gebouwd 1908-11 door Jos.Th.J. Cuypers en Jan Stuyt in een traditionalistische, bij grote "villa-architectuur" aansluitende neo-classicistische stijl.
Opgetrokken in verzorgd baksteenwerk met drie verdiepingen; risalerende middenpartij onder tentdak, bekroond door een schoorsteen met rondom guirlandes en een bord; risalerende zijvleugels onder schilddaken, elk bekroond door een windwijzer in de vorm van een schip; verbindingsstukken onder dwarsgeplaatste zadeldaken.
Alle kappen voorzien van rechte gootlijst op consoles en dakkapellen.
Benedenverdieping met bossingen, cordonlijst in natuursteen; gebosseerde hoeklisenen; eenvoudige balcons op eerste en tweede verdieping, boven ingangspartij gesteund door Ionische zuilen, elders door consoles.
Bovenaan middenpartij guirlandes, in het midden met kransen.
Gebouw van belang wegens oudheidkundige en architectuur-historische waarde.

Description
Originally entirely freestanding building, built as a hospital 1908-11 by Jos.Th.J. Cuypers and Jan Stuyt in a traditionalist neoclassicist style approaching grand 'villa architecture'.
Raised in carefully executed brickwork with three storeys; projecting central section under tent roof, crowned by a chimney with garlands all around and a panel; projecting side wings under hipped roofs, each crowned by a weather vane in the form of a ship; connecting sections under transversely placed gabled roofs.
All roofs provided with straight gutter cornice on corbels and dormers.
Lower storey with rustication, cornice in natural stone; rusticated corner pilasters; simple balconies on first and second storey, above entrance section supported by Ionic columns, elsewhere by corbels.
Above central section garlands, in the middle with wreaths.
Building of importance due to archaeological and architectural-historical value.
