Omschrijving
Op hoge, gecementeerde sokkel met blokgroeven, in baksteen onder leien zadeldak opgetrokken KERKGEBOUW, blijkens gedenksteen gebouwd in 1867, in eclectische trant bij een Middeleeuwse toren (reeds beschermd).
De eenbeukige kerk is voorzien van rondboogvensters met vierpasvormen in de lange gevels, en van roosvensters boven de zij-ingang en in de korte tuitgevel; voorts van rechte gootlijsten op klossen en steunberen.
Inwendig bevat de zaalkerk een gepleisterd, gedrukt tongewelf met twee geornamenteerde, cirkelvormige luchtroosters. Eenklaviers mechanisch orgel uit het midden van de achttiende eeuw, maker anoniem, afkomstig uit het gebouw van de Vereniging voor Evangelisatie Bethel, Menso Altingstraat 20 te Sleen (v/h mon.nr 468532).
Eenvoudige dorpskerk van karakteristieke midden-negentiende-eeuwse architectuur bij een laat-Gotische toren met spits, en als zodanig van belang.

Description
On high, cemented base with tooled groove work, in brick under slate gabled roof constructed CHURCH BUILDING, as evidenced by a commemorative stone built in 1867, in eclectic style adjoining a Medieval tower (already protected).
The single-aisle church is provided with round-arched windows with quatrefoil forms in the long sides, and with rose windows above the side entrance and in the short spout gable; furthermore with straight gutter lines on corbels and buttresses.
Internally the hall church contains a plastered, pressed barrel vault with two ornamented circular roof lights. Single-manual mechanical organ from the mid-eighteenth century, maker anonymous, originating from the building of the Association for Evangelisation Bethel, Menso Altingstraat 20 in Sleen (formerly mon. no. 468532).
Simple village church of characteristic mid-nineteenth-century architecture adjoining a late-Gothic tower with spire, and as such of significance.
