Omschrijving
Toren van de Grote of St. Clemenskerk. De hoge spits is een repliek uit 1913-1915 van de in de Spaanse tijd verwoeste. In de toren een mechanisch torenuurwerk, dat buiten bedrijf is gesteld, gemaakt door Melstert van der Meer uit Krommenie gemaakt in 1746. Klokkenstoel met gelui van zes klokken, waarvan één van F. Butgen, 1604, diam. 140,7 cm., één van F. Simon, 1638, diam. 90,5 cm. en vier moderne klokken. In de hal staat opgesteld een beschadigde klok van F. Simon, 1638, diam. 51 cm. De klok zou in de Kleine Kerk gehangen hebben. In een steunbeer van de kerk bevond zich een stenen zonnewijzer, die erg verweerd was. Bij de restauratie in 1980 is een geheel nieuwe plaat aangebracht.

Description
Tower of the Great or St. Clemens Church. The high spire is a replica from 1913-1915 of the one destroyed in Spanish times. In the tower a mechanical tower clock, which has been put out of service, made by Melstert van der Meer from Krommenie made in 1746. Bell frame with set of six bells, of which one by F. Butgen, 1604, diam. 140.7 cm., one by F. Simon, 1638, diam. 90.5 cm. and four modern bells. In the hall is displayed a damaged bell by F. Simon, 1638, diam. 51 cm. The bell is said to have hung in the Small Church. In a buttress of the church was a stone sundial which was very weathered. During restoration in 1980 an entirely new plate was installed.
