BASTION MET OOSTBEER. Bastion met:
- holgebogen, teruggetrokken linkerflank;
- achter die flank een geschutsopstelling met traversen en parados;
- een gerevetteerde rechterface welke - nagenoeg loodrecht - direct aansluit op de linkerface van bastion VIII;
- achter de rechterface een kleine schuilplaats, tevens munitiemagezijn;
- rechts daarvan een geschutsopstelling met traversen;
- voor de saillant de Oostbeer ter lengte van pl.m. 43 meter; daarin een recent vernieuwde duikersluis (voorheen inundatiesluis); op de beer een gemetselde monnik;
- voorliggende gracht ter breedte van pl.m. 30 meter.
Dit complexdeel wordt aan de stadszijde begrensd door de grenzen met de percelen 957, 1299, 370, 1277 en 2030.

BASTION WITH OOSTBEER. Bastion with:
- concave, recessed left flank;
- behind that flank a gun emplacement with traverses and parapet;
- a revetted right face which - nearly perpendicular - connects directly to the left face of bastion VIII;
- behind the right face a small shelter, also ammunition magazine;
- to its right a gun emplacement with traverses;
- before the salient the Oostbeer with a length of approximately 43 metres; in it a recently renewed sluice (formerly inundation sluice); on the beer a masonry sluice gate;
- foreground moat with a width of approximately 30 metres.
This complex section is on the town side bounded by the boundaries with plots 957, 1299, 370, 1277 and 2030.
