Omschrijving
Segment van verdedigingswerk vesting Naarden, deel uitmakend van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie. Het werk bestaat uit een aanleg van aardwerken met natte gracht en bijbehorende bebouwing zoals hierna genoemd.
De aanleg vormt een onderdeel van de verdedigingswerken rond Naarden en omvat een bastion en voorliggende natte gracht.
Op het bastion (bekend als bastion Katten) bevinden zich:
- Een bomvrije kazerne (gebouw A), gesitueerd in de linkerflank van de kat;
- Een bomvrije dubbele remise (gebouw B). De remise staat d.m.v. een hijsgat in verbinding met het daar onder gelegen munitiemagazijn;
- Een bomvrije flankkazemat (gebouw C). In het gebouw bevinden zich twee kanonkazematten met munitiemagazijn;
- Een bomvrije schuilplaats en achtergelegen munitiemagazijn (gebouw D);
- Een bomvrije remise met gebogen poterne/doorgang(gebouw E), gesitueerd aan de ZO-zijde van het bastion nabij de Oostwalstraat.

Description
Segment of fortified work vesting Naarden, forming part of the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie. The work consists of a layout of earthworks with wet moat and associated structures as named below.
The layout forms part of the fortifications surrounding Naarden and comprises a bastion and adjoining wet moat.
On the bastion (known as bastion Katten) are situated:
- A bombproof barracks (building A), situated in the left flank of the cat;
- A bombproof double remise (building B). The remise is connected by means of a hoist opening to the ammunition magazine situated below it;
- A bombproof flank casemate (building C). In the building are two gun casemates with ammunition magazine;
- A bombproof shelter and adjoining ammunition magazine (building D);
- A bombproof remise with curved postern/passage (building E), situated on the SE side of the bastion near the Oostwalstraat.
