Description

TIMBER-FRAMED FARMHOUSE from the 18th century on an S-shaped plan, largely with basement storey and covered with red Dutch tile gabled roofs.

On the street a barn erected partly in timber-framing, partly in fair-face masonry (with the ridge parallel to the street) with small arched windows in the west facade; bays mostly filled with brick and for a small part with loam.

On the north side adjoining this at right angles the dwelling and barn section erected wholly in timber-framing above a base of rubble stone with the ridge perpendicular to the street, of which the western gable is provided with a brick clamp; bays filled with loam; north facade painted white with dark plinth and provided with a door with mirror-panel spandrel, two two-light windows with 4-pane casements and shutters, and two windows with 6-pane casement (and shutter); in the south facade small windows on the storey.

Adjacent to the east facade of the dwelling section a barn erected largely in timber-framing (with the ridge parallel to the street); bays partly filled with brick, partly with loam; straight-shutting part doors in the west facade.

By virtue of the construction, the principal form and the modest facade openings a good and representative example of 18th century timber-framed construction and as such significant from the point of view of archaeological and vernacular value.
