Omschrijving
Toren. Overblijfsel van de middeleeuwse kerk. Bouwwerk uit het midden van de 15e eeuw, opgetrokken uit baksteen met lagen van tufsteen. Overhoekse veelvuldig versneden steunberen, uitgebouwde traptoren aan de zuidzijde. Drie geledingen: in de onderste aan de westzijde een hoge, geprofileerde spitsboognis waarin de ingang en een spitsboogvenster, aan de andere zijden telkens een tweetal recht overtoogde en daarboven segmentvormig overtoogde nissen; in de tweede geleding telkens een tweetal door een segmentboog overtoogde en daarboven spitsboogvormige overtoogde nissen; in de bovenste geleding spitsboognissen met galmgaten. Geheel onderaan hebben de spaarvelden in de steunberen en te weerszijden aan de ingang naar links schuin oplopende togen. In al deze nissen tufstenen toten. Description
Tower. Remains of the medieval church. Structure from the middle of the 15th century, erected of brick with layers of tufa. Diagonal buttresses frequently cut, extended stair tower on the south side. Three storeys: in the lowest on the west side a high, moulded pointed arch niche in which the entrance and a pointed arch window, on the other sides each a pair of straight-arched and above segmental-arched niches; in the second storey each a pair of segmental-arched and above pointed-arch-shaped arched niches; in the upper storey pointed arch niches with sound holes. At the very bottom the spandrels in the buttresses and on either side at the entrance to the left diagonally rising arches. In all these niches tufa capitals. Mechanical clock mechanism by Jos van de Kerkhof, 1937, electric winding. Restored in 1937.
