HOOFDINRIJHEK aan de Drostestraat. Hek, de ter plaatse aanwezige muur onderbrekend en bestaande uit twee vierkante bakstenen, door natuurstenen platen gedekte pijlers met rechthoekige en vierkante verdiepte velden en daartussen smeedijzeren draaiende spijlenhekken (vierde kwart zeventiende eeuw); boven deze laatste een tussen de pijlers gespannen smeedijzeren boog met lantaren en op de pijlers natuurstenen zittende schildhoudende leeuwen (alles waarschijnlijk eerste kwart twintigste eeuw).

Description
MAIN ENTRANCE GATE on the Drostestraat. Gate interrupting the wall at that location and consisting of two square brick pillars capped with natural stone plates, with rectangular and square recessed fields and between them wrought-iron rotating spear gates (fourth quarter seventeenth century); above the latter a wrought-iron arch with lantern spanning between the pillars and shield-bearing lions in natural stone sitting on the pillars (all probably first quarter twentieth century).
