R.K.KERK van de H.Johannes de Doper.
Indrukwekkend voorbeeld van neo-klassicistische architectuur, gebouwd 1822-1824 naar ontwerpen van A.Tollus. Voorgevel met hoge portiek van Dorische zuilen en bekronende houten toren.
Inwendig driebeukige hallenkerk met Jonische zuilen en arcaden, in het middenschip door een tongewelf en in de zijbeuken door kruisgewelven overkluisd, alle in hout uitgevoerd.
Rijke oorspronkelijke inventaris. Groot hoogaltaar, neobarok, met zuilenarchitectuur, bekronende beeldengroep van Maria's kroning, flankerende heiligen-beelden en altaarstuk, voorstellende de Kruisiging. Zijaltaren in een meer vlakke uitvoering uit dezelfde tijd. De altaarstukken geschilderd door de verdienstelijke neo-barokke schilder Antonius Ysendyck (Antwerpen 1801-1875). Voorts rijk gesneden preekstoel in barokke stijl (1725 volgens Voorl.Lijst), communiebank met neobarokke sculptuur, en reeks banken met gesneden zijwangen. Orgel met twee klavieren en vrij Pedaal, in 1875 gemaakt door P. Maarschalkerweerd en Zoon.

R.C. CHURCH of St. John the Baptist.
Impressive example of neo-classical architecture, built 1822-1824 after designs by A. Tollus. Front facade with high portico of Doric columns and crowning wooden tower.
Interiorly three-aisled hall church with Ionic columns and arcades, in the central nave covered by a barrel vault and in the side aisles by cross vaults, all executed in wood.
Rich original furnishings. Large high altar, neo-baroque, with columnar architecture, crowning group of sculptures of the Coronation of Mary, flanking sculptures of saints and altarpiece depicting the Crucifixion. Side altars in a flatter execution from the same period. The altarpieces painted by the worthy neo-baroque painter Antonius Ysendyck (Antwerp 1801-1875). Furthermore richly carved pulpit in baroque style (1725 according to Voorl. Lijst), communion rail with neo-baroque sculpture, and series of pews with carved side panels. Organ with two manuals and separate pedal, made in 1875 by P. Maarschalkerweerd and Son.
