Monumentaal KOOPMANSHUIS van parterre en twee verdiepingen met omlopend schilddak. Vijf vensterassen brede lijstgevel (XVIIId) met middenrisaliet van drie vensterassen. Hardstenen plint en vensterdorpels, geblokte hoeklisenen en geblokte omlijsting van de ingang. Gesneden deuren en kalf, halfrond bovenlicht, waarboven een gebeeldhouwde Hermes-kop, geflankeerd door in Lod. XVI-trant bewerkte consoles, die een kroonlijst dragen. Tussen de parterre en de eerste verdieping een waterlijst. De middenvensters van de risaliet hebben eenvoudige omlijstingen in Lod. XVI-trant. Boven de risaliet een zwaar fronton met grote, gesneden beelden van Neptunus en Mercurius. Description
Monumental MERCHANT'S HOUSE of ground floor and two storeys with encircling hipped roof. Five window bays wide cornice-topped facade (1780s) with central risalit of three window bays. Hardstone plinth and window sills, rusticated corner cornices and rusticated framing of the entrance. Carved doors and transom, semicircular fanlight, above which a sculptured head of Hermes, flanked by consoles worked in the style of the 16th century, which carry a cornice. Between the ground floor and the first storey a drip moulding. The middle windows of the risalit have simple framings in 16th-century style. Above the risalit a heavy pediment with large, carved figures of Neptune and Mercury. The windows have from the ground floor to the storeys respectively eight-, six- and four-pane sash frames with grooved mullions. Stoop with six rusticated bollards, between which chains. Internally: passage, of which the left wall still has the old arrangement of fluted pilasters (on the right ticketing windows have been added) and with stucco ceiling. Staircase with carved stair rail and stucco ceiling, all 16th-century style.
