St. Jacobsgasthuis (thans Stedelijk Museum).
COMPLEX, bestaande uit een op kruisvormige plattegrond opgetrokken Gasthuiskerk met neo-klassicistisch front (Korinthische zuilen met fronton) en twee vooruitspringende zijvleugels, die een voorplein voor de kerk omsluiten. De zijvleugels hebben hoekpaviljoens, behandeld als herenhuizen met verdieping, schilddaken met schoorstenen, gebosseerde middenrisaliet met ingangspartij en eveneens gebosseerde hoekpilasters. Vensters met schuiframen, waarin kleine roedenverdeling. De kerk heeft inwendig galerijen op gemarmerde zuilen, eenklaviers orgel, in 1773 gemaakt door H.H. Hess. In 1969 gerestaureerd door Leeflang Orgelbouw, en een Lodewijk XVI preekstoel. Description
St. Jacobus Hospice (now Municipal Museum).
COMPLEX consisting of a hospice church erected on a cruciform plan with neo-classical front (Corinthian columns with pediment) and two projecting side wings which enclose a forecourt before the church. The side wings have corner pavilions treated as mansions with one storey, hipped roofs with chimneys, bossed central projection with entrance section and likewise bossed corner pilasters. Windows with sash windows with small glazing bars. The church has internally galleries on marble columns, a one-manual organ made in 1773 by H.H. Hess. In 1969 restored by Leeflang Orgelbouw, and a Louis XVI pulpit. The complex is one of the most important creations of Giudici, who built it in 1787 on the site of a medieval hospice.
