Hardstenen grenspaal, op de ene zijde het Oostenrijkse wapen, op de andere zijde de Staatse Leeuw. Oorspronkelijk een grenspaal van de voorm. grensaanduiding tussen de Oostenrijkse Nederlanden en de Republiek der Verenigde Nederlanden.

INLEIDING
GRENSPAAL daterend uit ca. 1770 en na een grensgeschil bijgeplaatst op de scheiding van de Oostenrijkse Nederlanden en de Verenigde Provinciën.
OMSCHRIJVING
Vierkante GRENSPAAL in blauwe hardsteen. Aan de ene zijde is een ovale medaillon met een afbeelding van de Staatse Leeuw aangebracht en aan de tegenoverliggende zijde een ovale medaillon met het Oostenrijkse Wapen. De paal is aan de bovenzijde afgewerkt met een afgeknotte bisschopsmuts.
WAARDERING

BOUNDARY STONE dating from around 1770 and after a boundary dispute re-placed on the division of the Austrian Netherlands and the United Provinces.
DESCRIPTION
Square BOUNDARY STONE in blue hardstone. On one side an oval medallion with a depiction of the Batavian Lion is affixed and on the opposite side an oval medallion with the Austrian Coat of Arms. The stone is finished at the top with a truncated bishop's mitre.
