Omschrijving
"De Oliphant". Het huis bestaat uit twee evenwijdige vleugels, gedekt door zadeldaken tussen topgevels. De westelijke vleugel dateert van 1592, evenals de korte, vooruitspringende vleugel daartegen. Deze gedeelten verhoogd midden XVII. Oostvleugel XVII, verhoogd XIX. Achtzijdige traptoren met ingezwenkte naaldspits waarop peer en windwijzer. De toren heeft sculpturale versieringen. Inwendig: in de woonkamer balklagen, waarvan de moerbalken rusten op zandstenen consoles met gotische peerkralen. Opkamer: ledestenen gotische schouw; woonkamer: rijke renaissanceschouw (bij restauratie ca. 1930 aangebracht van elders).
In 1977 werd het pand verplaatst van Nieuwesluis naar de huidige locatie.

Description
"De Oliphant". The house consists of two parallel wings, covered by gabled roofs between pointed gables. The western wing dates from 1592, as does the short, projecting wing adjoining it. These parts heightened mid-17th century. East wing 17th century, heightened 19th century. Octagonal stair tower with drawn-in needle spire on which pear and weather vane. The tower has sculptural ornaments. Interior: in the living room beam layers, the main beams of which rest on sandstone consoles with Gothic pear-drop ornaments. Chamber: ashlar Gothic hearth; living room: rich Renaissance hearth (during restoration circa 1930 brought from elsewhere).
In 1977 the building was relocated from Nieuwesluis to its present location.
