The register's description

DWELLING HOUSE designed in 1931 according to the principles of the Nieuwe Bouwen by J.G. Wiebenga, on commission of J. Wenzet - originally entirely detached.

It is composed of cubic building volumes, each flat-roofed and provided with a black tile decorative band along the upper edge, with a maximum building height of two storeys, constructed in brick, whereby the upper storey has whitewashed walls, on a rectangular base; the walls are broken through by windows set in narrow steel frames with likewise vertical subdivision and placed now coupled, then individual in the facades and with a format based on a fixed proportional measure, alternating a horizontal and a vertical rectangle. The main entrance - a steel door with small circular window - with low step is located in the centre of the SE facade, to which a separate entrance section is constructed; to the left of this is the stairwell which on the floor level is provided with a roof light with a large window strip reversed around the corner, and which terminates at almost half the height of the floor, with a recessed, bevelled top, whilst the almost blank right block towers above it. The long SW facade contains below three windows, of which the right one is a horizontal fanlight, and on the floor level left an overhanging balcony with concrete floor and steel tube railing, with only in the centre a horizontal fanlight. The short NW facade contains below in the centre a garden door with windows on either side and on the floor level left a large window strip and right an overhanging balcony with concrete floor and steel tube railing, reversed around the NE corner. The long NE facade contains on the left below large window strips; the side entrance on the right is now obscured from view by a later extension - the connecting link with no. 72 - on the floor level in the centre and right two windows.

Dwelling house of significance because of the overall architectural and technical design - notwithstanding the later extension on the NE side, which falls outside the protected designation - as a representative example of the Dutch contribution to the Nieuwe Bouwen from the period 1920-40 of general significance because of its importance for the development of modern architecture.
