Omschrijving
Slot Doornweerd (doorwerth). Omgracht kasteel, bestaande uit drie vleugels om een kleine binnenplaats met poortgebouw en uitgestrekte voorburcht met voorpoort. Oostelijke vleugel XVIII, zuidvleugel XIII-XV, noordvleugel XVI; toren op de zuid-westhoek XVI?, afgebroken in XVIII, ca. 1840 op oude onderbouw herbouwd en na oorlogsbeschadiging in 1944-'45 andermaal op de ondergeleding na gesloopt. Oost- en zuidvleugel hebben Gelderse topgevels als afsluiting van de hoge zadeldaken (XVI). Voorburcht XVI-XVII. Restauraties: 1910-1915 en ten tweede male na oorlogsbeschadiging.

Description
Slot Doornweerd (Doorwerth). Moated castle, consisting of three wings around a small inner courtyard with gate building and extensive outer ward with outer gate. Eastern wing 18th century, southern wing 13th-15th century, northern wing 16th century; tower on the south-west corner 16th century?, demolished in 18th century, rebuilt circa 1840 on old foundation and after war damage in 1944-'45 demolished once more except for the base courses. East and south wings have Gelderland stepped gables as termination of the high gabled roofs (16th century). Outer ward 16th-17th century. Restorations: 1910-1915 and a second time after war damage.
