N.H. Kerk. Nadat de inpoldering in 1778 tot stand was gekomen, verrees in Hoofdplaat in 1783 tot '85 een door de ambachtsheer betaald kerkje, ontworpen door C. Kayser. Torentje op het afgeknotte pyramidedak, driehoekig bekroond, portiek aan de straatzijde. Inwendig: Lodewijk XVI preekstoel. Mechanisch smeedijzeren torenuurwerk.

Dutch Reformed Church. After the polder reclamation was completed in 1778, a small church paid for by the local lord was erected in Hoofdplaat from 1783 to '85, designed by C. Kayser. Small tower on the truncated pyramidal roof, triangular crown, portico on the street side. Interior: Louis XVI pulpit. Mechanical wrought-iron tower clock.
