Omschrijving
Voormalige woning van de opper-equipagemeester (Commerciehuis) van de Oost-Indische Compagnie. GEBOUW met schilddak en thans gepleisterde lijstgevel. Eenvoudige voordeuromlijsting. In de gevel drie stenen met monogram van de Middelburgse Kamer, Anno en 1616. Inwendig gemoderniseerd. Directiekamer: schoorsteen met rijk gesneden omlijsting waarin een (later) schilderstuk. De oorspronkelijk voor twee andere schoorsteenmantels van dit gebouw vervaardigde schilderstukken zijn thans opgehangen in de vergaderzaal.

Description
Former residence of the chief carriage master (Commerce House) of the Dutch East India Company. BUILDING with hipped roof and currently rendered cornice-topped facade. Simple door frame. In the facade three stones with monogram of the Middelburg Chamber, Anno and 1616. Internally modernised. Directors' room: fireplace with richly carved frame containing a (later) painting. The paintings originally made for two other fireplace mantels of this building are now hung in the meeting hall.
