Omschrijving
CONCERTGEBOUW, van 1883-1886 door A.L.van Gendt opgetrokken in internationale, maar door Nederlandse tradities (baksteen met natuurstenen banden) beïnvloede neo-renaissancestijl. Hoekpaviljoens met voor die tijd karakteristieke afgeplatte daken met steile schilden; afgeronde achterzijde, tempelfront. Inwendig grote en kleine zaal met door pilasters gelede wanden, de laatste met fijne stucdecoratie.
Drieklaviers orgel met vrij pedaal, in 1891 gemaakt door M. Maarschalkerweerd. In 1954 vermaakt tot vierklaviers orgel. De oorspronkelijke mechaniek en barkermachines werden vervangen door een elektrische tractuur.

Description
CONCERTGEBOUW, built between 1883-1886 by A.L. van Gendt in an international style influenced by Dutch traditions (brick with natural stone bands) neo-renaissance. Corner pavilions with characteristically flattened roofs with steep hipped ends for that period; rounded rear, temple front. Internally large and small hall with walls articulated by pilasters, the latter with fine stucco decoration.
Three-manual organ with free pedal, made in 1891 by M. Maarschalkerweerd. In 1954 converted to a four-manual organ. The original mechanics and barker machines were replaced by an electric action.
