Omschrijving
Popta-Gasthuis, bestaande uit vier vleugels en een hof en tussen de huizen aan de Buorren een rijk gebeeldhouwd toegangspoortje 1713.
In 1711 gestichte vrijwoningen voor ouden van dagen. Gebeeldhouwde zandstenen ingangspoort in de oostvleugel bekroond door topgevel, ter weerszijden z.g. Vlaamse topgevels van ingezwenkte halsvorm. Tevens voor de oostvleugel een hardstenen stoep en een ijzeren hekwerk. Aan de hofzijde van deze vleugel topgevel met gebeeldhouwde klauwstukken boven de doorgang. Inwendig in de oostvleugel de Heerenkamer en museumkamer.
Aan de hofzijde van de westvleugel, waarin o.m. de wasplaats/slachtplaats is ondergebracht, een Vlaamse top gelijk aan die van de oostvleugel binnenzijde.

Description
Popta-Gasthuis, consisting of four wings and a courtyard and between the houses on the Buorren a richly carved entrance gateway 1713.
In 1711 founded almshouses for the elderly. Carved sandstone entrance gate in the east wing topped by a stepped gable, on either side so-called Flemish stepped gables of retracted neck shape. Also for the east wing a sandstone step and an iron railing. On the courtyard side of this wing a stepped gable with carved claw pieces above the doorway. Internally in the east wing the Heerenkamer and museum room.
On the courtyard side of the west wing, in which among other things the washroom/slaughterhouse is housed, a Flemish stepped gable similar to that of the east wing interior side.
