Omschrijving
ST.MARTINUS, 1857-1858, P.J.H. Cuypers. Driebeukige neogotische kruisbasiliek in aan de rijpe Franse gotiek ontleende vormen. Vroeg werk van Cuypers. Toren met haakse steunberen en een nis met driedelige tracering in elk der gevels van de klokkeverdieping, die bekroond wordt dooreen ingesnoerde naaldspits. De kerk heeft een tweedelige wandopbouw, slanke pijlers met kolonnetten en kruisribgewelven. Tot de inventaris behoren: een geel koperen doopvont (1482) met deksel uit 1717; een notehouten corpus van een gotisch kruisbeeld, eerste kwart 14e eeuw; een kaarsenkroon uit de 18e eeuw. In de zuidelijke wand van het zuidertransept: een grafsteen uit 1509. In 1878 door de fa.Pereboom en Leyser driemanuaals mechanisch orgel in neo-gotische kas. Description
ST. MARTINUS, 1857-1858, P.J.H. Cuypers. Three-aisled neo-gothic cruciform basilica in forms derived from mature French gothic. Early work of Cuypers. Tower with right-angled buttresses and a niche with three-part tracery in each of the facades of the bell chamber, which is crowned by a slender needle spire. The church has a two-part wall elevation, slender pillars with colonnettes and cross-ribbed vaults. The inventory includes: a yellow copper baptismal font (1482) with cover from 1717; a wooden corpus of a gothic crucifix, first quarter 14th century; a chandelier from the 18th century. In the southern wall of the south transept: a gravestone from 1509. In 1878 by the firm Pereboom and Leyser a three-manual mechanical organ in neo-gothic case. Against the tower a memorial stone for the Count Van Tilly, 1732. Around the church eight grave markers, 16th-18th century and seven grave crosses, 17th-18th century. Bell frame with bell by N. Legros, 1761, diameter 95 cm.
