Omschrijving
Voormalige Refugie van Herckenrode. Langwerpig GEBOUW van mergel, waarvan de lange gevels elk worden onderbroken door een vierkant torentje, beide voorzien van een steentje met 1574. Het torentje aan de oostzijde is afgedekt door een zadeldak, afgesloten door een topgeveltje met voluten. Het westelijk torentje, dat evenals de westgevel een verhoging met speklagen bezit, heeft een kroonlijst op consoles en een tentdak. De torentjes bezitten nog hun oorspronkelijke vensters. Een deel der overige vensters van het gebouw hebben hardstenen kruiskozijnen gehad. De van oost naar west lopende tuinmuur bevat een steen met 1645 en het wapen van badis Barbara van Hinnesdael.

Description
Former Refuge of Herckenrode. Elongated BUILDING of marl, of which the long facades are each interrupted by a square tower, both furnished with a stone dated 1574. The tower on the east side is covered by a saddle roof, closed by a gable with volutes. The western tower, which like the west facade has a heightening with lime stone courses, has a cornice on consoles and a tent roof. The towers retain their original windows. Part of the remaining windows of the building have had ashlar cross windows. The garden wall running from east to west contains a stone dated 1645 and the coat of arms of Badis Barbara van Hinnesdael.
