The register's description

NED. HERV.

DUTCH REFORMED CHURCH (15th century) is a single-aisle brick building with a narrower choir and a tower. The nave - destroyed by fire in 1672 - is covered by a gabled roof tiled with pantiles. The tripartite-closed choir is covered with a hipped roof covered with slate. The tower is three storeys high and is crowned by a constricted spire covered with slate. Bell frame with bell by H. Meurs, 1607, diameter 117 cm. The consistory and the structures on either side of the choir are products of the restoration from the 1950s and are not covered by the protection. The facades, with the exception of that of the tower, are plastered. The plasterwork was renewed in 1992. In the north and south facades of the nave are four simple round-arched windows, in which timber frames with glazing bars are set, and in the choir closure three pointed-arch windows with natural stone tracery and stained glass, which was installed at the aforementioned restoration. In the church are a fine screen fence of the choir, two heraldic benches, a pulpit with two brass candlesticks, further two brass crowns and a font holder. The two-manual organ is placed on a gallery and was made in 1872 by C.G.F. Witte. The floor in the church was entirely renewed, some old gravestones have been collected in the choir. The church was intensively restored in 1956-57, during which among other things the spire and timber structure of the tower and the roof truss structure and the timber vault of the nave were renewed. The church is important because of its architectural and cultural-historical values.
