Omschrijving
Isr. SYNAGOGE. In 1865 herbouwde enig nog gespaard synagoge-gebouw in Friesland. Gevel in strak metselwerk geleed door middenrisaliet; halfcirkelvormige gesloten vensters; stichtingsstenen.
Tot de inventaris behoren: de Arke met bekroning(een vereenvoudigde navolging van de in 1964 naar Israel overgebrachte arke uit de synagoge in Leeuwarden), de Bima en een aantal banken, alles in Empirevormen, vervaardigd in 1807 en afkomstig uit de synagoge te Gorredijk.

Description
Jewish SYNAGOGUE. In 1865 rebuilt the only still preserved synagogue building in Friesland. Facade in tight brickwork articulated by central projection; semicircular closed windows; foundation stones.
To the inventory belong: the Ark with crowning (a simplified copy of the ark transported to Israel in 1964 from the synagogue in Leeuwarden), the Bima and a number of benches, all in Empire forms, made in 1807 and coming from the synagogue at Gorredijk.
