Omschrijving
Achterhuis behorende tot het woonhuis Tweebaksmarkt 49 (monument nr. 24407). Het zeer grote achterhuis dateert uit het midden van de 17e eeuw. Dit huis is twee verdiepingen hoog en wordt overdekt door een schilddak. De twee pilastergevels zijn vier en drie traveeën breed en zijn respectievelijk door het belendende pand en de winkelpui aangetast. De pilasters met korintische kapitelen dragen een rijk gedetailleerde kroonlijst. Van bijzonder belang zijn de Empire vensters en het reliëf (midden XVII) in de vier traveeen brede pilastergevel. Voor het interieur zijn de overwelfde gang ter hoogte van de beganegrond en de verdieping, het trappenhuis met trap (alles midden XVII) en het stucplafond (XIX) ter hoogte van de beganegrond van groot belang. Het achterhuis is vooral van belang vanwege zijn architectuur- en bouwhistorische waarden.

Description
Back building belonging to the dwelling Tweebaksmarkt 49 (national monument no. 24407). The very large back building dates from the middle of the 17th century. This building is two storeys high and is covered by a hipped roof. The two pilaster gables are four and three bays wide and are respectively damaged by the adjoining building and the shop front. The pilasters with Corinthian capitals carry a richly detailed cornice. Of particular importance are the Empire windows and the relief (mid-17th century) in the four-bay-wide pilaster gable. For the interior the vaulted passage at the level of the ground floor and first floor, the staircase with stairs (all mid-17th century) and the stucco ceiling (19th century) at the level of the ground floor are of great importance. The back building is of particular importance because of its architectural and building-historical values.
