Description
Building with a facade which has lost much of its elegant 18th century character through 19th century additions such as balcony, shop front and plate-glass windows. Typical of the building period of the mid-18th century facade is the wooden ornamental infill in the double-arched recessed fields above the windows and the wooden lambrequins laid on the facade hanging from the moulded natural stone lintels. Above the heavy cornice provided with carved consoles is a roof dormer which is crowned in an arched form by moulded woodwork with a volute motif. 18th century.
