Omschrijving
Broederkerk. Een langgerekte hallenkerk bestaande uit twee even lange, even hoge en op gelijke wijze gesloten beuken; hoofdzakelijk XVd tot stand gekomen. In de hoek, gevormd door beide koorsluitingen een achtzijdig traptorentje; op het zuidbeuk een dakruiter (XIXb). Tegen de noordbeuk aangebouwd een poortje, dat toegang geeft tot de v.m. armenkamer. Inwendig is de ruimte thans door een dwarsmuur in tweeën gedeeld; de westelijke helft is in gebruik als N.H.Kerk. De beide beuken zijn van elkaar gescheiden door ronde zuilen met bladkapitelen en overwelfd met kruisribgewelven. In het oostelijk gedeelte is het stergewelf van de noordbeuk bewaard gebleven; in de muur van de gang naar de v.m. armenkamer een rondboogvenster met deelzuiltje. Preekstoel ca. 1840; zerken en tekstborden. In orgelkas van Van Gruisen uit 1822 (met schijn-Rugwerk) een tweeklaviers instrument met pijpwerk uit de 16e, 17e, 18e, 19e en 20e eeuw. Rond 1787 ingrijpende verbouwing door F.C. Schnitger jr.

Description
Broederkerk. An elongated hall church consisting of two equally long, equally high and equally closed aisles; mainly erected from the 15th century onward. In the corner, formed by both choir closures, an octagonal small stair turret; on the south aisle a roof turret (19th century, second half). Against the north aisle is attached a small doorway, which gives access to the former almshouse room. The interior space is now divided into two by a cross wall; the western half is in use as a N.H. Church. The two aisles are separated from one another by round columns with leafed capitals and are vaulted with cross-rib vaults. In the eastern section the star vault of the north aisle has been preserved; in the wall of the passage to the former almshouse room a round-arched window with a small shafted column. Pulpit circa 1840; gravestones and text boards. In organ case by Van Gruisen from 1822 (with dummy back) a two-manual instrument with pipework from the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Around 1787 extensive renovation by F.C. Schnitger jr.
