Omschrijving
V.m. Gouvernementshuis. Zeer breed onderkelderd pand, in XIXa voorzien van een nieuwe voorgevel. De met de bocht van de rooilijn meegebouwde witgepleisterde façade rust op een lage hardstenen plint en afgesloten door een lijst met tanding en modillons. Drie dakkapellen met boogfrontons. De brede voordeur voorzien van een omlijsting met tanding "gewijzigde" vensters. Hardstenen stoep. Het zadeldak gevat tussen zijtrapgevels met natuurstenen dekplaten op de treden. De achtergevel okerkleurig bepleisterd en voorzien van boogvensters. Haaks uitgebouwde tuinvleugel eveneens oker gepleisterd. Vier dakkapellen, segmentvormig bekroond. Koetshuis en stallen met boogdeuren en roosvensters. De tot aan de wal doorlopende tuin heeft bij de Gentse poort een toegang met 2 bakstenen pijlers waarop natuurstenen siervazen in de Lodewijk XVI trant (een is momenteel kapot).

Description
Formerly Government Building. Very extensively cellared building, in the first half of the 19th century furnished with a new front facade. The facade with whitened render built following the curve of the building line rests on a low stone plinth and closed by a cornice with dentils and modillons. Three roof dormers with arched fronts. The broad front door furnished with a surround with dentils "altered" windows. Stone step. The gabled roof set between side stepped gables with natural stone coping on the steps. The rear facade ochre rendered and furnished with arched windows. Right-angled extension at the rear likewise ochre rendered. Four roof dormers, segmentally crowned. Coach house and stables with arched doors and wheel windows. The garden extending to the wall has at the Gentse gate an entrance with 2 brick piers on which natural stone ornamental urns in the Louis XVI style (one is currently broken).
