Omschrijving
Raadhuis. In oorsprong een uit 1528-34 daterend met ledesteen bekleed rechthoekig gebouw met slanke toren. Architecten Laurens Keldermans en Willem van Sassen. Ingrijpende wijzigingen in 1844 hebben vrijwel alle stijlkenmerken doen verdwijnen van het gebouw dat oorspronkelijk 1 complex uitmaakte met de aan de achterzijde tegen de toren aangebouwde vleeshal, die later als waag heeft gefungeerd. De wapenstenen in het hoge bordes zijn afkomstig van een vroegere torenbekroning.

Description
Town Hall. Originally a building dating from 1528-34 clad with Liège stone, rectangular with slender tower. Architects Laurens Keldermans and Willem van Sassen. Major alterations in 1844 caused almost all stylistic features to disappear from the building which originally formed a complex with the meat hall built against the tower at the rear, which later served as a weigh house. The coat of arms stones on the high portico come from an earlier tower coping.
