Omschrijving
Oosterkerk. Eenbeukige kruiskerk (1519) met dakruiter op de kruising, niet georienteerd. De noordgevel met het schip zijn in 1616 vernieuwd in Hendrick de Keyser-stijl en vormt een bijzonder rijk onderdeel van de straatwand aan Het Grote Oost. Koorzijde van verre van de havens af zichtbaar met de in 1600 vergrote dakruiter. Ingangsportaal van zandsteen in de noordgevel. Inwendig mooi meubilair: Glas in loodraam uit 1619 (1916 gerestaureerd). Preekstoel XVIIa, doophek met banken, bank uit 1620, banken uit 1622 en 18e eeuwse banken, tochtportaal 1619, spiltrap XVIIa, kloklodenkast 1612, twee koperen kronen. In orgelkas van J.H.H. Batz uit 1764 plaatste C.G.F. Witte in 1871 een nieuw instrument met Hoofdwerk en Rugwerk. Klokkenstoel met gelui bestaande uit een klok van Ricoldus Butendiic, 15de eeuw, diam. 61 cm en een moderne klok.

Description
Oosterkerk. Single-aisle cruciform church (1519) with roof lantern at the crossing, not oriented. The north facade with the nave were renewed in 1616 in Hendrick de Keyser style and forms a particularly rich component of the street frontage on Het Grote Oost. Choir side visible from far away from the harbours with the roof lantern enlarged in 1600. Entrance portal of sandstone in the north facade. Interior with fine furnishings: Stained glass window from 1619 (restored 1916). Pulpit first half of 17th century, baptism gate with benches, bench from 1620, benches from 1622 and 18th century benches, draught portal 1619, spindle stair first half of 17th century, bell-cage clock 1612, two copper crowns. In organ case by J.H.H. Batz from 1764 C.G.F. Witte placed in 1871 a new instrument with Great and Rückwerk. Bell-frame with bells consisting of a bell by Ricoldus Butendiic, 15th century, diam. 61 cm and a modern bell.
