CASTLE ALDENGHOOR, situated on a moated site. Main building, consisting of two wings at right angles to each other with half-hipped roofs, from the seventeenth century and from the eighteenth to twentieth century, with on the inner corner a heavy round brick and marl tower, from the fifteenth or sixteenth century, eighteenth-century high spire; on three corners of the seventeenth-century main wing, square turrets. Outer ward in hook shape from the seventeenth or eighteenth century; the entrance wing with partly altered mansard roof and gate pavilion with gabled roof between splayed pediments. The passage on the field side with voussoir dated 1750 and under a pediment; on the courtyard side a voussoir with 1886. Bridge with three masonry arches.
