Omschrijving
VLEESHAL, door Lieven de Key, de stadsbouwmeester in 1602/3 gebouwd.
Zeer rijke trapgevel met overvloedige toepassing van zandstenen blokken, trappen aan de voorzijde met obelisken versierd, de top door het stadswapen bekroond, grote poort in midden, ter weerszijden lagere kelderpoortjes.
Osse- en schapekoppen als stenen versiering, zijgevel met drie rijk versierde toppen.
Loden versieringen aan nok en dakkapellen.
Inwendig grote hal met vlakke stenen gewelven op een rij, zuilen in de middenas, stenen wenteltrap naar de verdieping.

MEAT HALL, built by Lieven de Key, the city architect in 1602/3.
Very richly decorated stepped gable with lavish application of sandstone blocks, steps on the front decorated with obelisks, the top crowned by the city coat of arms, large gate in the middle, on either side lower cellar gates.
Ox and sheep heads as stone decoration, side facade with three richly decorated tops.
Lead decoration at ridge and dormer windows.
Internally large hall with flat stone vaults in a row, columns in the central axis, stone spiral staircase to the storey.
