Omschrijving
In het laatste kwart van de 17e eeuw opgetrokken als HUIS van de heren Van Wassenaar, diende van 1748-1795 als hotel van de afgevaardigden van de vijf Noord-Hollandse steden.
Fors gebouw van eenvoudige doch verzorgde architectuur met natuurstenen deuromlijsting.
Inwendig in enkele vertrekken nog betimmeringen en stucversieringen.
Aansluitend het huis, dat Johan van Oldenbarnevelt in 1612 begon te bouwen in de trant van Hendrick de Keyser, oorspronkelijk met twee topgevels, thans met een rechte kroonlijst en attiek.

Description
Erected in the last quarter of the 17th century as HOUSE of the lords Van Wassenaar, served from 1748-1795 as hotel of the delegates of the five North Holland cities.
Substantial building of simple yet carefully executed architecture with natural stone door surround.
Internally in some rooms still panelling and stucco ornament.
Adjoining the house, which Johan van Oldenbarnevelt began to build in 1612 in the manner of Hendrick de Keyser, originally with two step gables, now with a straight cornice and attic.
