The register's description

Ned. Herv. kerk.

Dutch Reformed Church. Hall church with three-sided closed choir and roof turret from 1658.

The church completed in 1658 is constructed of yellow IJssel stone and dated 1658 in red brick in the front facade. The two-pointed stars above it, also in red brick, refer to the coat of arms of Gouderak. On the west side the masonry projects at the location of the tower. The roof turret has a wooden superstructure clad with slate and is crowned with a spire. The church was rebuilt in 1851. In front of the entrance stands a portico from 1954 in adapted style. The church has pointed arch windows on a drip moulding. Between the windows formerly carved buttresses with sloped capping. The interior of the church has a wooden barrel vault with wooden tie beams on corbel supports from 1851. These have profiled keystones of a 17th-century type.

The inventory includes a pulpit and lectern from around 1830 which originate from the former Remonstrant church on the Kromme Nieuwegracht in Utrecht. The square pulpit consists of a base, bowl, back panel, sounding board and stairs. The panels of the bowl have a circular medallion with pearl border, surrounded by laurel branches with a bow at the top and bottom. On corner pilasters placed diagonally hanging laurel garlands. The bowl is finished with a corniced list. Door with brass knob. The rectangular back panel has a panel with draped cloth festoon, biretta knob and frieze with leaf garlands. On either side pilasters with oak leaf decoration. Acanthus leaf consoles support a corniced list. The square sounding board is chamfered at the corners and decorated with dentil, egg-and-dart and bead-and-reel mouldings.

The pulpit lectern is attached to the pulpit with a modern rectangular arm. The rectangular lectern has a broad rim with almond-shaped recesses. Within this a symmetrically curved line pattern. In front of the pulpit lie two grave stones. One is of the founder of the church, schout Jan Brouc († 1659). The second stone is of Reverend Jacob Gerard Staringh († 1804). From 1741 onwards he was minister at Gouderak.

The organ with Great Manual and Secondary Manual was made in 1887-1888 by P. Flaes. The organ case is carved in Empire style.

Communion silver, consisting of two engraved beakers from 1673-'74 and two from 1716 with the four evangelists. Silver baptismal basin from 1876-'77. Tin communion set consisting of two ewers, two alms boxes, two small trays, two large and four small plates, 18th century.

Bell frame with bell by François Hemony, 1661, diam. 87.4 cm. Church and inventory of significance from an architectural history perspective.
