Omschrijving
Grote of Maria Magdalenakerk. Laat-gotische kruisbasiliek, waarvan het driebeukige koor dateert uit het derde kwart van de 15e eeuw, en de transepten in het begin van de 16e eeuw voltooid werden.
Het schip werd na een brand in 1619-'21 vervangen door het huidige (bouwmeester was Marcus Antonius uit Antwerpen). Sacristie uit plm 1520.
De kerk wordt bekroond door een dakruiter uit 1620. Inwendig orgel uit 1969-1971, waarin opgenomen 9 oude registers, fontpijpen uit 1711, orgelkas met galerij, 1641-'43 door Willem Diaken, behangen met luiken, beschilderd door de Dordtse schilder Bisschop.
Onder het orgel regeringsbank uit 1654, bekroond door een lijst met de wapens van Goes en Borssele, plm 1710. Orgelpartij overkoepeld door een Lodewijk XIV overhuiving uit 1739.
Preekstoel uit 1594, waarvan een koperen lezenaar met het wapen Isebree, door Joh. Specht te Rotterdam in 1769 gegoten. Zwaar beschadigde gebeeldhouwde steen, wellicht epitaaf, met voorstelling van de Gregorius-mis, uit plm 1500.
Tochtportaal, samengesteld uit gebeeldhouwde natuurstenen sierstukken afkomstig van de gesloopte scheidingswand, die in de 17e eeuw werd opgetrokken tussen dwarspand en koor. Vele zerken, waaronder twee met ridderfiguren: Sweer van Heenvliet 1486 en Jan van Oostende 1516.

Description
Great or Maria Magdalena Church. Late Gothic cruciform basilica, of which the three-aisle choir dates from the third quarter of the 15th century, and the transepts were completed at the beginning of the 16th century.
The nave was replaced after a fire in 1619-'21 by the present one (master builder was Marcus Antonius from Antwerp). Sacristy from c. 1520.
The church is crowned by a roof turret from 1620. Interior organ from 1969-1971, incorporating 9 old registers, front pipes from 1711, organ case with gallery, 1641-'43 by Willem Diaken, hung with shutters, painted by the Dordrecht painter Bisschop.
Beneath the organ a regents' bench from 1654, crowned by a cornice with the arms of Goes and Borssele, c. 1710. Organ section overarched by a Louis XIV canopy from 1739.
Pulpit from 1594, of which a brass reading desk with the arms Isebree, cast by Joh. Specht at Rotterdam in 1769. Heavily damaged carved stone, possibly an epitaph, depicting the Gregory Mass, from c. 1500.
Draught porch, assembled from carved natural stone ornamental pieces from the demolished partition wall, which was erected in the 17th century between transept and choir. Many gravestones, including two with knight figures: Sweer van Heenvliet 1486 and Jan van Oostende 1516.
