Het Oude- Mannen- en Vrouwenhuis, in 1775-1778 gebouwd naar ontwerp van Phillips Willem Schonck met beeldhouwwerk van Guilliam Carrier. Het omvat twee zijvleugels in gele baksteen en een hogere middenpartij, in welker achtergevel zich twee nissen bevinden met hardstenen van een grijsaard en een besje. Description
The Old Men's and Women's House, built in 1775-1778 after a design by Philips Willem Schonck with sculpture by Guilliam Carrier. It comprises two side wings in yellow brick and a higher central section, in whose rear facade two niches are located with sandstone representations of an old man and an old woman. In the middle bay and at the corners rusticated (block-shaped) brickwork. In the upper windows empire sash windows with fan brackets. Garden walls along Havendijkstraat and Waterpoortstraat.
