Omschrijving
Kloosterkazerne. Voormalig klooster St.Catharinadal, Norbertinesseconvent, gesticht in 1308, vernieuwd 1498-1504, sinds 1645 aan zijn bestemming onttrokken, thans infanteriekazerne. In de hoofdzaak zijn de (inwendig geheel vertimmerde) kerk en een deel van de kloostergang overgebleven. De kerk in opzet als dubbelkapel aangelegd, zeven traveeën diep en driezijdig gesloten; rijk ontwikkelde, met natuurstenen banden versierde steunberen; resten van de natuurstenen vensterneggen. Aansluitend de overblijfselen van de zuid- en westvleugel van de kloostergang. In 1843 oostwaartse uitbreiding van de kazerne, ten westen stal met hoge kap, op de hoek van het Nonnenveld.

Description
Cloister Barracks. Former cloister St. Catharinadal, Norbertine convent, founded in 1308, renewed 1498-1504, since 1645 diverted from its original purpose, now infantry barracks. Essentially the church (with completely interior woodwork) and part of the cloister gallery remain. The church laid out as a double chapel, seven bays deep and closed on three sides; richly developed buttresses decorated with ashlar bands; remains of ashlar window reveals. Adjoining the remains of the south and west wings of the cloister gallery. In 1843 eastward expansion of the barracks, to the west a stable with high roof, on the corner of the Nonnenveld.
