The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
Derelict and badly dilapidated one and a half storey gabled house, at the end of a lane S of the Belfast Road, c.1 mile NW of Newtownards. This house probably dates from the mid nineteenth century (c.1840s), however, it appears to have been renovated in late Victorian/Edwardian times and now sports a gabled porch to the front facade as well as paired window openings (without frames). The building is very poor condition, largely open to the elements and surrounded by rampant greenery.
Historical information
A building is shown on this site on the OS Map of 1858-60, however, the present house appears to have been greatly renovated in late Victorian/Edwardian times.
