The Department's description

Small, low, two storey terrace shop of possible mid 19th century construction, with recent shop front. The property is set on the SE side of Main Street, Greyabbey.

The main roof and return roof are both gabled and covered with Bangor blue slates. The front facade is finished in lined render, the rear return in rough cast. Cast iron rw goods.

The front (NW) elevation is asymmetrical. To the ground floor of the front is a recently installed, but traditional looking, shop front with a recessed glazed door with fanlight and sidelight, to the left, and a large multi pane adjoining shop window to the right. Projecting painted timber sign above shop front with raised gold lettering. To the first floor are two plain sash windows.

To the rear is a long two storey gabled return with various loft and window openings (part of this return belongs to No.11).

The OS maps of 1834 and c.1860 show a building roughly on this site, though it is difficult to be certain.
