The Department's description

Site of former single storey schoolhouse built in 1887, demolished 1988, with new school building now built in its place (opened 1989).

Description from 1st Survey card "Single storey school. T shaped plan with lean -to addition at back. Roof slated. Gable ends with gabled projection in front. Decorated barge boards and projecting eaves. Yellow brick chimney. Walls rendered and lined and painted. Bevelled base. Each side bay has 2 double hung windows, vertical astragals and label moulding over lintel. Central gable has inscription panel in tympanum and central window with semi-circular arch head, horizontal astragals. On each side of the window is smaller curved recess with semi-circular arch head. All 3 on sill and all with triple archivolt over. Sheeted entrance door on L/H side of projection and plywood panel door on R/H.
Condition good. Front about 58 feet."

Site of former school house of 1887, demolished 1988. New school constructed on the site in 1988/89.
