The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
A two-storey, three-bay, rendered house with slated roof and a later red brick chimney on each gable. Main entrances faces west.
Walls rendered with wet dash to entrance front, with raised smooth rendered stringcourses, and quoins to extremities, and smooth rendered, lined and blocked gables.
Windows are modern rectangular timber fixed lights with top-hung vents, set in moulded and lugged surrounds. Elliptically arched doorway with modern replacement glazed door flanked by modern replacement 2-pane sidelights surmounted by modern replacement radial fanlight. PVC rainwater goods; timber eaves board over modillion cornice.
Two-storey rear return with modern doorway below modern flat canopy.
SETTING: The building stands in a rural area set well back from the main road, within its own farmland; concrete driveway; rendered and corrugated iron outbuildings.

Precise date of building not known but it appears on the site on the OS map of 1857; the OS map of 1832-3 shows a predecessor on the site.
