The Department's description

Derelict two storey/ two bay house up lane on E side of the Ryanstown Road. Roof is pitched but stripped of slates. Red brick chimneys to both gables are in state of collapse. Walls are lined rendered over random rubble with stepped stucco quoins. Rendered brick window jambs and raised architraves to front ground floor window openings.

Front elevation faces W and has a central porch with pitched roof and doorway to front. There is a single window opening to each bay at ground floor and one in each wall head dormer above. Remains of 2/2 sash frames are evident.

Left and right gables are blank. Right gable is abutted by low-roofless (mono pitch) concrete block shed.

Rear elevation is abutted to middle bay a large concrete block 20thC single storey kitchen return (of no interest). To left and right of return is a single window opening to each floor.

First shown in present form on 1901/02 OS 6” map, indicating a later 19thC construction date.
