Exterior description and setting
A dressed granite post on south verge of road. Measures c.30 x 20 cm in cross section; 70 cm protrudes above ground. Rounded corners to top. Side facing to road is finely dressed and inscribed PBW in 5cm high capital letters.
Historical information
One of a number of stones marking the course of the Portadown and Banbridge Waterworks pipeline from Foffany Dam, opened in 1909. See also HB 16/07/048, 0/61, and /063 for identical stones. Shown on 1919 OS 6” map.
