Exterior description and setting
A dressed granite post on left verge of road (facing north). Measures 31cm x 21cm in cross section; 40cm protrudes above ground. Rounded corners to top. Side facing to south finely dressed and inscribed PBW in 5cm high capital letters.
Historical information
One of a number of stones marking the course of the Portadown and Banbridge Waterworks pipeline from Foffany Dam, opened in 1909. See also HB16/07/061-063 for identical stones. Shown on 1919 OS 6” map.
