Exterior description and setting

A single storey/four bay house with rear return, running parallel to and on the north side of Killowen Old Rd.

Pitched natural slate roof at the east end and artificial slate at west end. Tiled verges to all bays except between first and second from left. Plastic semicircular rainwater goods. Two brick chimneys with granite copings, one on party wall between first and second bay, the other between third and fourth bays. All walls are wet dashed.

Main elevation faces south. Entrance is slightly left of centre in second bay (from left) and consists of a four panelled painted timber door with a narrow, smooth cement architrave. To left of door on this bay is a 2/2 sliding sash window (with horns), with a similar window to each remaining bay on the facade. Window heads meet the eaves. All have granite cills and architraves as door.

The right gable has a 2/2 sliding sash window and the left gable a metal top-opening window.

The rear elevation has a 2/2 sliding sash windows on each of its two left-hand bays. A return abuts the two bays on the right hand side.

Roof and walls of return are as main block. It has three metal top opening windows on its rear wall. Its left cheek has a t+g sheeted painted timber door to the left and a metal top opening window to the right. The right cheek has a t+g sheeted painted timber door.

To front is a narrow garden enclosed by a low dashed wall with wrought iron gate. To left right and rear are overgrown gardens.
