The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
A single segmental span carries a two-lane minor road over a stream just downstream of Old Drumcru Bridge (HB12/02/034). It is of finely dressed limestone blocks throughout. The parapets have projecting copings embellished with punched and margined side faces and raised shallow-pitched top faces. The parapets terminate in slightly higher out-projecting piers.
A water pipe is carried across the downstream (north) face, and there is a second pipe just beyond (supported on concrete piers). An electrical cable is carried across the upstream face.
The downstream face is now heavily overgrown. The upstream pier on the right bank has been slightly dislodged by the impact of a vehicle.
Historical information
This bridge is first shown on the 1857 OS 6" map and is cited as 'Drumcru Bridge (New)'. It is therefore of mid 19th century date. It superseded Old Drumcru Bridge.

Evaluation
A well executed bridge making an interesting contrast to the adjoining earlier bridge. However, of no special architectural, historical or landscape merit.
