Exterior description and setting
Sandstone cross with no markings, approximately 1.2m high set in bank at side of an overgrown and disused lane.
Historical information
Too small a structure to show on any OS map. Date is therefore uncertain. The first HMBB survey card states that funerals would often stop to rest at this spot, and on many occasions offerings were taken at these resting points.
