Historical information

The 1833 OS map records the ‘Sluice’, but no bridge is shown. The bridge first appears on the 1854 OS map beside the caption of ‘Sluice’, though there is no caption in the 1907 map and the 1947 OS map is captioned ‘Fbr. St.’. No Abercorn estate letters were found pertaining to this bridge.
