The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
A masonry bridge of rubble and boulder construction carrying a road over a small stream. It consists of two segmental arches with a central cut-water abutting each face, and rough-cut stone copings to parapets which rise slightly in height toward the centre of the span.
SETTING: It stands in a very rural location in open countryside, with verdant trees and bushes in immediate proximity to it.
Historical information
Date not recorded but probably built in the 18th century. It appears on the first OS map of 1833. Built to carry the old Larne to Carncastle road.
