Historical information
Robert McCausland lived in Rush Hall in 1725, in 1835 it was the residence of Mr Hugh Boyle when it was an extensive cottage joined on at right angles to an original part . Hugh Boyle left it to his second son Connolly with other property. Rush Hall was later rebuilt. Hugh Boyle appears to be a descendent of James Boyle who married in 1722 to Mary Buoy, daughter of Mary Campbell and James Buoy, a Limavady merchant who had died in 1696. James Buoy owned Carrick, Clougher and Muldoney and left one sixth each to his six daughters. Present house built c1885 extended 1984
