The Department's description

Former thatched house completely altered, part demolished. Extension erected to form a T-plan arrangement with new porch erected in angle. Thatched roof replaced with asbestos slates. Windows timber top hung opening out and new panelled door. Little of a discernibly historical character remains.

Its location, hidden behind trees with a sinking path approch road relative to the adjacent fields, is the only discernable character of the vernacular retained.

Not recorded on the Ordnance Survey Map of 1831.
Recorded briefly in HB records of 1970 as a ' harled and whitened thatched cottage with 2 chimneys. The entrance is flanked on one side by a sashed window and on the other by a modern window. Ther is a modern extension to the rear. Whitened stone outbuildings with corrugated iron roof.'
